There is always a sensation associated with electrolysis. It depends a lot on the individual's tolerance to pain, the process being used, the type of hair being treated, and the area being treated. The process can be uncomfortable for some people requiring a much lower current setting and a longer treatment time while others fall a sleep during the treatment. Each experience is unique to the client however there are topical anesthetic treatments available to reduce the sensation, if required in extremely sensitive areas.
